How to become a member
Step 1- Create Account
Navigate to the SHPE Homepage & create an account under 'Not a Registered User Yet?'.​​

Step 2 - SHPE Connect Log in
Log in to the SHPE Homepage again, using your newly created log in information.

Step 3 - Membership Package
Select membership package that best suits your needs. If you are a professional working a full time job, select "Professional Membership" if you are a graduate student, select "Graduate Membership". See 'Member Types' section below for more details.

​Step 4 - Select Region
In the dropdown menu, select "Region 4" for New Jersey chapter region.

Step 5 - Payment
Pay the corresponding membership fee with a credit or debit card. Be sure to join the mailing list to keep up with the latest SHPE news!


Member Types

Professional Member $65/year
A Professional member is someone who at a minimum holds an engineer-in-training certificate or a bachelor's degree in any discipline of engineering, computer science, engineering technology, mathematics, physical science, or a mathematically based science field.

Associate Member
$55/year
An associate member shall be a person who believes and supports the purpose of this corporation.

Lifetime Professional Member
$1,000
A Lifetime Professional member shall be a person who at a minimum holds an engineer-in-training certificate or a bachelor's degree in any discipline of engineering, engineering technology, mathematics, physical science or a mathematically based science or technical field. Membership dues for lifetime members will be waived in perpetuity.
Does not Expire
